Classic Zambia - Budget

For first time safari visitors to Zambia we recommend combining South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi National Parks for amazing up close and personal game viewing. This is a classic safari combination with incredible bush country and riverside activities with huge numbers of diverse wildlife.

Famed for its leopard population, the South Luangwa will not fail to impress those in search of big game. Lions are common place here whilst wild dog may be found too. Elephants, huge herds of buffalo, zebra, impala, bushbuck, waterbuck, warthog, Cookson's wildebeest, giraffe, hyena, hippos and many other mammals can be seen alongside an incredible array of over 450 bird species inhabiting this unspoilt bush wilderness.

Flying next into Lower Zambezi National Park, you're immediately aware of the vast scale of the mighty Zambezi River forming a border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. This is time to unwind a little on safari and you can either spend some time exploring the park by vehicle or canoe or simply relaxing about camp watching a matriarch elephant leading her family down for drinks in the river. There is time for a final sundowner before leaving with some great memories of this beautiful country.
