On arrival in Johannesburg, waste no time in getting out into the bush and catch a flight directly to Madikwe Game Reserve, your safari holiday begins at the airstrip where you'll be met and taken on a game drive en route to camp. Accommodation here manages to combine the best of style and luxury with a rustic wilderness charm. The whole game reserve is a triumph for conservation, in a land where so many species were destroyed, now exists 75,000 hectares of reintroduced animal species, such as wild dog and cheetah, and plant life restoring the area's natural ecosystem.
Depart from this wilderness and transfer to the Mpumalanga region. Here the most spectacular scenery of all awaits you; visit Blyde River Canyon, Mac-Mac Falls, The Three Rondavels and God's Window to name but a few places.
A fitting final stop to this wildlife & wilderness adventure is Kruger National Park or one of its surrounding private reserves with wonderful safari accommodation just waiting to show you the famous Big 5. At nearly 2 million hectares, this is one of the largest protected animal parks in Africa, not only home to the Big 5 but over 500 bird species, 100 reptiles and countless plants, shrubs and trees ensuring that visitors will experience the safari holiday of a lifetime.
