Untouched and much-less visited than well-known Milford Sound a wilderness cruise through Doubtful Sound is equally alluring and for many preferred due to the sheer size and tranquillity of the place.
From Queenstown join your coach connection for the journey through Central Otago to Manapouri for a short cruise across the lake before heading over the Wilmott Pass (noted in history as one of the most expensive roads ever built in New Zealand) and down into Deep Cove where you will join the purpose built catamaran, Patea Explorer, for a memorable 3 hour cruise through the serenity and vastness that is Doubtful Sound. Often referred to as the 'Sound of Silence' you will discover why when the catamaran engines are quieted and the only sound you can hear is the beautiful birdsong or the rush of a distant waterfall. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, fur seals and the rare Fiordland crested penguin.

Return coach transfers from Queenstown and a picnic lunch are included.
