Gently gliding along in your kayak, scanning the water surface for those all important tell tale signs of an orca pod, is a truly exhilarating experience. Under expert instructions, yours guides will help you seek out these majestic marauders with maybe a chance sighting of a black bear and some sealions along the way too.
Your explorations will not be limited to the water alone. The base camp lies in a protected bay where you can discover some of the many walking trails, the beaches for tide-pooling or spend some time at the fishing hole. In the evenings, reflect on the days adventures around the campfire, learn about the mythology and ecology of the beautiful orca and dine on wholesome West Coast favourites cooked over a wood flame.
Also included in this trip is a 4-5 hour whale watching cruise from Telegraph Cove which in addition to orcas also offers opportunities to view humpback whales, minke whales, Pacific white sided dolphins, Dall's porpoises, harbour seals and Stellar sea lions.
