We had a great trip, thanks to your advice and planning. Our only wish is that we could have stayed twice as long at each stop and would love to just turn around and do it all again. Mr. & Mrs. R. - Kent
Our specialty is getting you to the very best locations for wildlife and outback experiences around Australia. Across this huge and diverse country you will meet friendly, knowledgeable guides and some real characters that are passionate about their regions and it is this that really enhances holidays in Australia designed by us. We have tracked down some unique wildlife experiences, only available to Wildlife & Wilderness; that will give you an exceptional Australian wildlife holiday. Furthermore, we have access to some of the remote research locations where rarer marsupials are protected.
The wildlife of Australia is incredibly diverse, yet too often overlooked. From well known kangaroos, wallabies and koalas to echidnas and platypus; to quolls, potoroos and Tasmanian devils. Bird watching holidays in Australia provide a whole new array of species for the keen birder and there are good numbers of endemics, wonderful Southern Ocean pelagics and some very rare species such as the orange-bellied parrot. Underwater around the coast you will find manta rays, whale sharks, whales and dolphins, turtles, dugongs and a myriad of colourful fish on the reefs, the Great Barrier Reef and Ningaloo Reef in particular. Around southern Australia are sea lions and fur seals and on a smaller scale sea dragons in the kelp forests.
Travelling seasons do vary from region to region but everywhere it is a country that you can travel in style and comfort, enjoying some great hospitality and cuisine as well as world class wildlife experiences. Our holidays in Australia are designed, as always to suit you and of course we can include the cities and main attractions too. Whether you want a luxury safari holiday by helicopter flying into outback stations and private wildlife guides or a self-drive tour through some of the countries wildlife hotspots such as Tasmania or Kangaroo Island, we look forward to helping you discover some of Australia's incredible wildlife and outback wilderness.
