Ullagala

Fabulous, perhaps this one word does not do justice to the property but akin to other Uga accommodation on the island this is a really lovely place to stay. Ullagalla has plenty of history and lies close to Anuradhapura in the Cultural Triangle. The location is quiet and well away from other properties, many of which lie close to Sigiriya. There is a calm air of certainty, certainty in the elegance and historical significance but also in the modern comforts and service of today.

Ullagala has 25 villas set in 24 hectares, each has a private pool and lounge and is equipped with air conditioning, an entertainment system. Dark wood and whites predominate in contrast and add an essence of colonial refinement together with the four-poster bed.

After a day exploring, or perhaps just relaxing by the large main pool, take time to enjoy the world class spa before you indulge in 5* dining in the main restaurant. Private dining is also possible either at your villa or on location on or around the property.

For the more adventurous there are activities organised from Ullagalla such as horse riding, kayaking, a village bike ride and nature walks. All in all, this is a fabulous place to stay for those who enjoy nature and life’s luxuries.
