The Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge is situated overlooking the breathtaking Inca ruins of Machu Picchu. Below, down the steep mountain slopes is the town of Aguas Calientes, where you can relax in the hot springs at the end of a long day of exploring.

The hotel does feel a little isolated next to the ancient ruins and during the day time can feel very busy with visitors passing by. However, in the early morning and evenings the hotel comes into its own as a sanctuary from the bustling town below.
