Sher Bagh

Sher Bagh is a delightful tented camp set out in the fields under the hills of the national park some distance away from the main town of Sawai Madhopur, but close to the entrance to Ranthambore. There is a very relaxed feel to the camp.

Each of the 12, white tents is en suite, comfortable and tastefully furnished, each faces the nearby hills. Apart from the grass immediately in front of the tents the remainder of the site has been left to grow wild to give more of a feeling of a bush camp. This works well, as you wind your way through the trees to the fire pit where barbeques are held and stories are told over drinks in the evening. There is also a small waterhole nearby that also draws birds and larger animals to drink.

Above reception there is a pleasant lounge and bar area that catches the afternoon breeze. Dining is in an open tented area outside and the cuisine is very good. Away from the rush of Rajasthan this is great option for those that enjoy their nature experiences and those that want to relax quietly after travelling through India.
