Forsyth's Lodge is the star of Satpura National Park which is reached by a scenic drive from the better known Pench National Park or directly from Kanha National Park. The lodge has been built on sound environmental practices and highly supports the local community. Indeed it was designed as a local mud-built village. However, the main reason to visit is for the totally different approach it takes to wildlife and wilderness encounters when compared with the lodges of the other national parks.
The lodge has 12 cottages located in 44 acres of jungle on the border of Satpura Tiger Reserve where the emphasis is on great guiding by local guides and taking nature naturally. In other words for the nature enthusiast this is an excellent choice of lodge where serendipity enhances your wilderness experience and wildlife is not to be 'expected'.
